Does that mean it'll be an auspicious year for me? I believe I'm a rabbit. Although that doesn't fit my personality whatsoever. :-)

AFAIK, being in the same year as your animal sign is quite inauspicious. I believe you need to pay some money to a temple and burn some incense. Or put a statue of some diety somewhere in your house. And perhaps sacrifice your first born. One of these is probably not true.
